Damask Wallpaper

Damask wallpaper is initially utilized in place of tapestries. It is created to coordinate with upholstery material. As a result, the patterns were developed to mimic these woven patterns. The silk used to make damask gave the cloth its worth. The weaving process produced the matte design and silk ground. The earliest version of this was tone-on-tone, in one color. Since Victorian damask wallpaper rose to prominence, it has had an enduring appeal.
